Account Deletion

Important: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Once deleted, your account profile, personal reading history, bookmarked summaries, and all associated membership benefits will be irrevocably erased.

What happens when your account is deleted

In line with our privacy commitments and data protection laws (such as GDPR and the California CPRA), deleting your account triggers the following:

• Personal data erased. Your email address, third-party authentication tokens, and user credentials will be permanently removed from our active database.
• Learning records cleared. Saved book summaries, audio playback positions, notes, and study cards are wiped.
• Remaining benefits forfeited. Any active subscription period, sponsor pass, or promotional points remaining on your account will be forfeited immediately and are non-refundable.

Active app store subscriptions

Deleting your CamelBell account does not automatically cancel an active subscription billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Because those platforms manage their own recurring billing, you must cancel auto-renewal yourself before deletion to prevent future charges.

Apple (iOS): Open iPhone Settings, tap your Apple ID name, then Subscriptions, select CamelBell, and tap Cancel Subscription.

Web (Stripe/PayPal): Subscriptions managed directly on our website are terminated when account deletion is approved.

How to request account deletion

Method A: In-app self-service (fastest)

1. Open the CamelBell mobile app and sign in.
2. Tap the Mine / Profile tab.
3. Go to Settings, then Account & Security.
4. Tap Delete Account and confirm. Your account will be closed immediately.

Method B: Request deletion by email

If you cannot open the app, or you registered only on the web, email our privacy desk:

• Send an email to camelbellclub@gmail.com
• Subject line: Account & Data Deletion Request
• Include the email address registered on the account, and your User ID, so we can verify ownership.

Our security team will verify your identity and permanently delete your data within 48 business hours, then email you a written confirmation.

Data retention and legal exceptions

We erase identifiable profiles and usage logs. Camel Bell Digital Limited may still keep anonymized transaction records (such as invoices and payment tokens) only to the extent required for legal, tax, and anti-fraud audit obligations.
